Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karate Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalle Palikka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kid comes into the arena with Kung Fu Fighting blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Kid.

Kid went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

No joy there for Kid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That was a close round but I would say that Karate Kid will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Palikka throws a right hand that Kid ducks under and follows up with a left that Kid also avoids with ease.

A little feinted left hand from Kid on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

After the fight, Kalle Palikka was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
