Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Red Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Argus Lekas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lekas has chosen What if I was Nothing as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Red Bush! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Argus Lekas! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bush throws an overhand right that lands on Lekas's shoulder, as Lekas tries to avoid the shot. Lekas throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A swing and a miss from Bush. Lekas throws a jab when Bush was well out of range. Lekas lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bush takes a step back to recover. Bush throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Lekas lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Bush closes the distance but Lekas moves to the side and Lekas counters with a low kick, right behind Bush 's knee. Lekas throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bush. Bush throws a body shot but no joy. Lekas is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Bush with a body shot. Bush jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lekas looking to stall.

It looks like Argus Lekas has been cut. Lekas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lekas jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bush throws a shot from downtown. Lekas moves away and avoids it. Bush lands with a right hand. Lekas lands a jab to the nose. Bush has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Furnace in the buildup to the fight. Lekas has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bush finds it's way round the side to connect with Lekas's head. Lekas cracks a nice hook into Bush's ribs. A left lands for Bush. Bush misses the jab. Lekas's coach down at The Furnace was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lekas's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Lekas is looking to land body kicks. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lekas throws a jab but it's blocked by Bush. Bush clinches. Bush misses with an elbow over the top. Lekas is trying to push Bush away but Bush has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Bush tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Lekas looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. With the fighters up against the ropes, Bush throws an elbow but misses.

That was a close round but I would say that Red Bush will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Argus Lekas's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lekas misses with a straight left. Bush throws a right hand that Lekas ducks under and follows up with a left that Lekas also avoids with ease. Bush tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A telegraphed right hand from Lekas misses the target. Bush uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lekas.
Red Bush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bush misses with a looping right. Lekas is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Bush with a body shot. Bush swings for the body but Lekas moves out of range.
Lekas catches Bush with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Bush fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Bush checks a leg kick nicely. Bush fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lekas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lekas throws a low kick but Bush avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Red Bush. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bush, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
