Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Shannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anastazio Bled (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anastazio Bled told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bled looks to clinch
and Shannon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bled's guard.
Shannon lands a couple of elbows.
Bled throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Bled is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shannon defends well.
Shannon postures up in Bled's guard and throws a big left but Bled blocks it.
Shannon throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shannon stands up over Bled, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bled is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Shannon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bled on the ground.

Shannon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Bled working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shannon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shannon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bled is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Shannon has his hands clasped together but Bled extends and breaks Shannon's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bled.
