The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyon throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jackson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jackson looks to land a combination but Lyon avoids it well.
Lyon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Lyon.
Jackson drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lyon sprawls and moves away.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lyon working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
