The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Villefort defending well as Nicolosi loads up on a big left hand.

Nicolosi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. De Villefort sees it coming and avoids it easily.
De Villefort seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Nicolosi throws a shot from downtown. De Villefort moves away and avoids it.
De Villefort attempts a counter takedown but Nicolosi avoids it well and moves away.
A jab from Nicolosi finds it's way through De Villefort's defenses.

A quick step to the side and De Villefort tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nicolosi drops De Villefort with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but De Villefort looks back up at him and smiles so Nicolosi waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh De Villefort is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

De Villefort seems to have got his legs back now.
De Villefort ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

De Villefort throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Nicolosi escapes and throws De Villefort's legs to the side, diving into side control!

De Villefort lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
Nicolosi wants to take a breather but De Villefort is having none of it.

The fighters are battling for position here. De Villefort manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A very excited looking Frank Nicolosi rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
