Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elbert Cohen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roland Reina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elbert Cohen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roland Reina!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reina tries to keep at a distance but Cohen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cohen controlling the action here for a moment.
Cohen can't break the clinch.
Reina is looking for a takedown.
A frustrated look appears on Cohen's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Reina prevents Cohen from breaking the clinch.
Reina is trying to break the clinch but Cohen has him pressed against the cage.

Cohen breaks from the clinch.
Cohen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Cohen wants to clinch up but Reina keeps it at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reina shoots in looking for a takedown but Cohen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reina's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cohen stuffs the takedown.

Reina goes for a double leg but Cohen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cohen continues to drive forward.

Cohen manages to break the clinch.
Cohen dives in and grabs Reina's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reina pushes down on Cohen's head and hops out.
Reina wants to counter the offense by Cohen and move into the clinch position.
Cohen shoots in and drives through. Reina sprawls well.
Reina goes for a double leg but Cohen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cohen continues to drive forward.
Reina throws a leg kick but Cohen moved away.
Reina looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Reina gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Reina not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Reina is pulling down on Cohen's head to control his posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reina working for submissions but it's allowed Cohen to get to half guard.
Reina is refusing to be controlled, as Cohen sits in half guard.
Reina tries to get to full guard but Cohen has control of the leg.

Reina controlling the position for now.
Cohen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Reina is looking to control Cohen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Reina avoid being mounted?
Cohen missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Reina is not content to let Cohen control the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cohen tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Reina lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Elbert Cohen has been cut.
Reina dives in for a single leg takedown but Cohen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cohen shoots in looking for a takedown. Reina tries to sprawl out of it but Cohen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reina manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Reina closes the distance and clinches.

Reina is trying to force a seperation but Cohen has the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cohen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reina has him pressed against the cage.
Reina digs a right hand into Cohen's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cohen's gas tank.
A short uppercut from Reina.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Roland Reina will probably get the nod.

Reina tried to score with a low kick but Cohen checks it.
Reina misses with a head kick.

and Reina counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Reina.

Reina tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cohen smiles and moves away.
Cohen lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Reina shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cohen sprawls well. Cohen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reina gets slowly back to his feet.

Reina clinches up with Cohen and pushes him back against the cage.

Cohen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Reina doesn't manage to clinch there - Cohen circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cohen.
Cohen slaps away a takedown attempt from Reina, before circling back to the center of the mat.
As Reina tries to get set, Cohen tries to push him back and clinch up but Reina manages to avoid the attempt.

Reina shoots in and drives through. Cohen sprawls well.
Cohen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Reina sprawls and moves away.

Reina tries to pull guard but Cohen won't allow it.

Cohen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cohen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A punch lands to the side of Cohen 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Reina fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cohen, pushing him back against the cage.
Reina is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Cohen is defending well.
A frustrated look appears on Reina's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Reina jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cohen walks away with a smile on his face. Reina gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Roland Reina showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Reina is working an open guard so Cohen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Cohen misses with a takedown attempt - Reina sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Reina shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Reina takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Reina shoots in for a takedown but Cohen shows good takedown defense.
Cohen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reina's waist but Reina gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cohen off to one side.

Reina tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cohen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Reina shoots for a double leg takedown but Cohen sprawls well. He's pushed Reina's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Cohen counters with a body kick that stops Reina in his tracks momentarily.

Cohen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Reina's guard.
Cohen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Reina lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Roland Reina.
Well Reina has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
