Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Dorian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendall Damon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Dorian has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, John Dorian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kendall Damon!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damon takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Damon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dorian manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Damon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Dorian bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Damon's guard.

Damon told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Dorian trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dorian is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Dorian drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dorian jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dorian's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Damon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dorian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dorian throws a big right hand that misses.
Damon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dorian is one step ahead there.
Dorian slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Dorian has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Dorian slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Dorian misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Dorian is trying to get an arm triangle but Damon is defending well.
Dorian will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Damon wants to get back to his feet but Dorian is dominant here and he's now got Damon's back!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dorian punches the canvas rather than the man.

Dorian patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Damon is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Dorian has got one arm under Damon's chin. This could be trouble... Damon trying to control the other hand but Dorian gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Damon has tapped out! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). John Dorian!
John Dorian spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
