Kannemeyer pulls guard successfully.
Garrett looking to sit in guard and control but Kannemeyer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kannemeyer wants to control from the top but Garrett keeps moving.
Garrett has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kannemeyer is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Garrett.
Garrett is trying to improve his position.
Kannemeyer takes a little break here. Garrett wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kannemeyer postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Garrett badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Kannemeyer around the waist but Kannemeyer pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Kannemeyer is the winner by TKO! Kannemeyer jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
