Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Israel Moses! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vetle Elvenes! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elvenes clinches with his opponent.
Moses wants to take the fight to the mat but Elvenes manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Moses tries for a takedown. No joy.
Elvenes is pressed up against the cage. Moses has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Elvenes down to the mat. Elvenes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Israel Moses. That's going to take a lot out of him. Elvenes takes the fight into the clinch. Elvenes wants to take the fight to the mat but Moses manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Elvenes stalling the fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elvenes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Elvenes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Moses, pushing him back against the cage. Elvenes jumps guard.
Moses wanted to stand there but Elvenes had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elvenes keeping moving, preventing Moses from controlling successfully. Elvenes has his hands on Moses's head, controlling the position. Moses won't allow Elvenes to get back to his feet. Moses trying to control but Elvenes is working from the bottom. Elvenes has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Elvenes is working an open guard so Moses takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Elvenes blocks a head kick by Moses.

Elvenes has closed the distance and engaged Moses in a clinch.
Elvenes has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Moses avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Moses taking a breather. Moses slows down the pace here.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Moses for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Moses stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Moses goes for a takedown attempt but Elvenes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Elvenes tries for a takedown but Moses circles away easily and Moses counters with a two punch combo. Elvenes goes for a double leg but Moses avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Moses continues to drive forward. Moses feinted with a counter takedown. Elvenes misses with a head kick.
Moses really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Elvenes has Moses up against the cage in a clinch.
Moses has had enough of the clinch but Elvenes keeps him there for the moment.

Moses is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Elvenes is defending well. The referee is keeping an eye on Elvenes - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Elvenes shoots in looking for a takedown but Moses manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Elvenes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Moses went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Vetle Elvenes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Elvenes looks to land a combination but Moses avoids it well. Moses gets off balance looking for a body kick and Elvenes counters with a left and a right that stings Moses. Elvenes looks to throw the jab but Moses is out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moses throws a body shot but no joy. Elvenes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moses circles away quickly and effectively.

Moses has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Moses is looking to take this one to the mat. Elvenes tries to pull guard but Moses forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Elvenes tries to land knees in the clinch but Moses avoids the damage to the body.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Elvenes breaks from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Elvenes stuns Moses with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Elvenes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Moses. Moses throws a head kick that misses. Elvenes darts in looking for a takedown but Moses gets double underhooks and turns Elvenes into the cage. Elvenes falls off balance throwing a combination
and Moses counters with a low kick, right behind Elvenes 's knee. Moses tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Elvenes is able to avoid easily. Israel Moses is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elvenes fails with a takedown attempt. Moses looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Moses tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Elvenes shoots in for a takedown but Moses shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Elvenes tries a head kick but it misses.

Vetle Elvenes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Moses's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Moses tries to sprawl out of it but Elvenes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moses manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Elvenes darts in and clinches Moses up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Elvenes jumps guard but Moses turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Moses blocks a body shot from Elvenes. Elvenes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A battle for position here, against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Elvenes takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A nice left hand lands by Elvenes.
Elvenes has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Moses has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Elvenes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Israel Moses has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vetle Elvenes is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Moses jumps guard but Elvenes stands there with Moses around his waist. Moses gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Vetle Elvenes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Elvenes winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
