Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mick Dangler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mick Dangler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan David!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dangler shoots in for a takedown but David shows good takedown defense.
David wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
David swats away the attempt to clinch by Dangler.
No luck for Dangler with that takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dangler.
David is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mick Dangler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
David connects with a jab.
David throws a jab but it's blocked by Dangler.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
David works the jab nicely.
Dangler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
David blocks the body kick.
David drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dangler defends it well.
Dangler dives in and grabs David's left leg, looking for a takedown. David pushes down on Dangler's head and hops out.

Dangler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
David changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
David connects with a crisp jab.


It looks like Mick Dangler has been cut.
Juan David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Donk. David catches Dangler right on the button with a cross.
David lands with a cross.
David has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Dangler has managed to clinch.
Dangler throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on David's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Dangler is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but David is defending well.
David's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Dangler tries to pull guard but David won't allow it.
Dangler wants to break the clinch but can't.
David blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
David keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dangler's efforts to push away.
David on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
David wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

David is trying to break the clinch but Dangler has him pressed against the cage.
David prevents a body shot from Dangler.
Dangler misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Dangler is trying to pull guard but David has him pressed against the cage.
David stalls.
Dangler fails to pull guard.
Dangler tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
David will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Dangler up against the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Dangler is looking to control David's arms but David gets an underhook and turns him. Now Dangler has his back to the cage.
Dangler has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
David is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Juan David dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dangler throws a body shot but no joy.
David lands a nice hook to Dangler's body. Dangler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Dangler fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Dangler feints and as David raises his hands in defense, Dangler changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dangler wants to stand but David is controlling his posture from full guard.
David utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dangler pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. David is keeping the position for now.
Dangler passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dangler wants to get back to his feet.
Dangler stalling.
Dangler not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
David on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dangler is taking a breather. David says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
David is breathing heavily.
David tries to kick Dangler off but Dangler keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Dangler seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Dangler misses with a double jab.
David drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dangler defends it well.

Dangler gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dangler has David pushed against the cage.
Dangler tries to stall but David uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dangler drops to a knee looking for a takedown but David gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dangler's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
David manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
David trying to stall but Dangler improves his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dangler tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and David avoids it.

Dangler pulls guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dangler is on top in guard.

David is trying to control the position but Dangler postures up.
David really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dangler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dangler passes David's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dangler lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Dangler content to control rather than advance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Dangler shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in David's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dangler pushing down on David's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Dangler is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if David can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dangler is in the full mount, landing strikes.
David in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dangler controlling the position easily from mount.
David takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
David is bucking up trying to escape but Dangler cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Dangler is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but David is surviving well by controlling Dangler's body position as best he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dangler raining down hammerfists from mount.
A nice elbow there by Dangler.
Dangler lands a heavy elbow.
Dangler controlling his opponent.
Dangler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Dangler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Dangler postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. David looks a forlorn figure.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dangler looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Dangler pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

David defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Dangler.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mick Dangler showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Dangler has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
