Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hockley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sloth Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Hockley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sloth Peterson! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Steve Montenegro and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hockley drops Peterson with a beautiful combination! Peterson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hockley is looking for the KO!
It looks like Sloth Peterson has been cut. Joe Hockley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice sprawl there from Hockley as Peterson shoots in. Hockley with a lazy takedown attempt and Peterson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hockley is lucky that one didn't land flush. Hockley misses with a few strikes there.
Hockley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hockley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Peterson. Hockley misses with a takedown and Peterson moves into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Hockley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peterson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Peterson looks gassed! Peterson gets control of Hockley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Peterson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Peterson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hockley. Hockley throwing strikes but missing. Hockley tries to free his leg and advance position but Peterson is retaining full guard. That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hockley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hockley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A nice combination there by Hockley.
Nice shot lands for Hockley. Peterson gets caught flat footed, as Hockley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Peterson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hockley preventing the sweep. Hockley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson wants to stand and escape but Hockley is having none of it. Hockley is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hockley scoring with some ground and pound. Hockley with a nice head shot there. Peterson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peterson keeping moving, preventing Hockley from controlling successfully. Peterson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Peterson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Hockley. Peterson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Peterson is trying to control Hockley's posture but Hockley avoids it. Hockley trying to control the action but Peterson is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hockley working the ground and pound. Hockley scores with punches from side control. Peterson tries to bench press Hockley off him but Hockley keeps the position. Peterson wants to control but Hockley postures up. Peterson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Hockley is staying active. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hockley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Peterson wants to try and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Hockley dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sloth Peterson's cut. That's time! Hockley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Peterson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hockley counters with a nice double leg into guard. Peterson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hockley puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Hockley is looking to take a break and control but Peterson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hockley is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Peterson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Peterson wants to control but Hockley is keeping busy and won't allow it. Peterson taking some punishment here, with Hockley in his half guard. Peterson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hockley scores with a couple of nice shots. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hockley is pressing down on Peterson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Peterson is holding on for now. Peterson trying to control from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hockley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Peterson keeps working.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hockley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Peterson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Peterson scores with a takedown into Hockley's guard. Peterson wanted to stand there but Hockley had control of the position. Hockley on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hockley tries to get out of the position. Hockley is looking to stand up but Peterson isn't so interested in that idea. Hockley is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Peterson won't allow Hockley to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hockley throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Peterson wants to sweep but Hockley has passed to side control! Peterson is trying to control Hockley's posture but Hockley avoids it. Hockley fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Peterson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hockley connects with a decent elbow. Hockley grinds an elbow into Peterson's temple. Peterson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hockley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hockley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Peterson shoots in looking for a takedown. Hockley tries to sprawl out of it but Peterson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hockley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hockley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Peterson counters with a big head kick but Hockley shrugs it off. Joe Hockley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hockley gets caught flat footed, as Peterson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Peterson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Peterson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hockley keeping moving, preventing Peterson from controlling successfully. Hockley manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hockley raining down shots from the mount! BOOM! Hockley connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Joe Hockley dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Sloth Peterson's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hockley shoots for a double leg takedown but Peterson sprawls well. He's pushed Hockley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hockley has his takedown stuffed and Peterson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hockley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Peterson stands and steps away. Hockley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Nice takedown defense from Hockley. No joy for Peterson on that attempt. Hockley tries for a takedown but Peterson circles away easily and Peterson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hockley won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Hockley. That's going to take a lot out of him. That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Peterson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hockley.
Hockley throws a right and a left that Peterson avoids nicely. Peterson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hockley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Peterson is tying to control. Hockley wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hockley moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson tries to free his leg and advance position but Hockley is retaining full guard. Peterson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Peterson forces his way into half guard. Peterson is taking a breather. Hockley says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Peterson trying to control from half guard but Hockley is working away. Peterson winds up and cracks Hockley with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Peterson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hockley gets full guard. Peterson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hockley has a closed guard, preventing Peterson from standing up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hockley is on top in guard.
Sloth Peterson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Joe Hockley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Peterson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that's the end of the fight! Sloth Peterson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hockley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
