Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

29 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, J.J. Grey!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fenix misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Grey pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Fenix walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Marcus Fenix has been cut.
Fenix misses with an uppercut.
Fenix takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Grey bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fenix's head.
Fenix uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grey.
Fenix looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Grey tries a head kick but it misses.
Fenix feinted with a counter takedown.
Grey swats away the attempt to clinch by Fenix.
Grey has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Fenix tries to clinch up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grey listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Fenix throws a right and a left that both miss.
Grey lands with a cross.
Grey throws a sloppy head kick and Fenix moves out of range easily.
Fenix went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fenix missing with a left hand there. Grey was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Grey tries a quick counter leg kick but Fenix is wise to it.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Fenix is looking for a counter combo.
Fenix is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Fenix looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
J.J. Grey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grey cracks Fenix with a right hand to the side of the head.
Fenix keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Grey.
Fenix throws a right hand that Grey ducks under and follows up with a left that Grey also avoids with ease.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Grey.
Fenix throwing a counter right hand but Grey manages to avoid it.

Fenix swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Grey counters with a left to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Grey. That snapped Fenix's head back.
Grey looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Fenix moves forwards but Grey connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Fenix uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Grey.
Fenix lands a head kick. Grey smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fenix does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fenix slips a jab from Grey.
Fenix throws a head kick but Grey moves out of range.
Grey lands with a kick to the temple. Fenix shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Grey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Grey lands with a nice body punch.
Fenix slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Grey lands a big head kick that sends Fenix tumbling to the mat! Grey takes a step backwards and waves Fenix back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fenix is rocked!
Grey lands a nice looking body shot.
Oh Fenix is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fenix walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Fenix limp body while Grey jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). J.J. Grey!
