Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ignacio Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kane sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kane manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Jones keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Kane has Jones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kane pulls guard successfully.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones stands up and waves to Kane to follow him.

Jones looking to score a takedown here. Kane is defending well but Jones drives through and ends up in Kane's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kane swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kane has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up.

Kane pushes Jones off and scrambles back to his feet.

Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones throws a counter combo.

Jones shoots in and bounces Kane off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Kane pushes Jones off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Kane blocks a head kick by Jones.
A good leg kick by Jones.

Jones rushes Kane and presses him up against the cage.

Jones gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Kane has one foot on Jones's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kane avoids a kick to the body.

Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A punch lands to the side of Jones 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A low kick from Jones misses
and Kane counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kane moves out of range of the body kick from Jones.
Jon Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones clinches with his opponent.

Kane manages to pull guard.
Kane has his hands on Jones's head, controlling the position.
Jones won't allow Kane to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kane has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jones is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Jones pulls guard effortlessly.

Kane gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.
Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kane.
Jones looks winded!
Kane blocks a head kick by Jones.

Jones clinches up with Kane and pushes him back against the cage.

Kane decides to pull guard.

Kane is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jones presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kane decides to pull guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kane is looking to sweep but instead, Jones has passed into half guard.
Kane is looking to escape.

Jones gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Kane jumps into guard, dragging Jones to the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kane wriggles free and stands up.
Jones throws a body punch but Kane moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones darts in and clinches Kane up against the cage.

Jones won't allow Kane to sweep him here.

Kane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily.

Kane uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kane misses with a takedown attempt
and Jones counters with an inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Kane backing up. Kane nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kane tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Jones decides to pull guard.
Jones is controlling Kane's posture.

Jones pushes Kane off and gets back to his feet.

Jones clinches up against the cage.
Kane is trying to pull guard but Jones turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ignacio Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kane throws a big elbow that misses.

Kane decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Kane tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Kane doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kane takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Ignacio Kane has been cut.

and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Kane backing up. Kane nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.

A slapping leg kick lands for Jones.
Jon Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice straight punches there by Jones. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jones.
Kane takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jones connects with a body shot that sends Kane's belly button to the back.
Kane blocks a head kick by Jones.

Jones pushes Kane up against the cage in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones tightens his grip and picks Kane up, before dumping him to the ground. Kane manages to land in guard.

Kane uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Jones throws a nice head kick!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Ignacio Kane's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Jones moves into range and clinches up with Kane.
Kane tries to pull guard but Jones won't allow it.
Kane drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.

Jones tries to keep at a distance but Kane has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kane is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jones is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kane to the mat. Kane regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Kane uses the cage to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kane counters with a right hand to the body.
Kane blocks a head kick by Jones.
A counter left hand to the body from Kane misses its target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kane shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ignacio Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kane tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jones counters with an inside leg kick.

Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kane dives in for a single leg takedown but Jones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kane sets himself, and Jones steps forward looking for the clinch! Kane avoids it this time.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.
Jones throws a series of punches but Kane moves out of range.
Jones cracks the inside of Kane's front leg.
Jones misses with the combination.

Jones gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Kane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jones has managed to clinch.
Kane jumps guard but Jones turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Jones prevents the takedown attempt.
Kane is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Kane tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Kane drops back down to his feet.

Kane is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jones is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kane to the mat. Kane regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Kane has his feet on Jones's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Jones rushes Kane and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jones moves into the clinch.

Kane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kane has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jones takes a swing at Kane's ribcage but misses.
Kane throwing a counter right hand but Jones manages to avoid it.
Jones fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kane has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Kane pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
