Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Shelton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johnny Lawler!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
No joy there for Lawler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shelton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lawler kicks off Shelton and gets to his feet.
Shelton throws a head kick but Lawler moves out of range.
Lawler lands with a right hand.
A combination from Lawler does no damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lawler connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shelton. Shelton circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Shelton doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lawler counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Shelton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Shelton fails with the takedown
enabling Lawler to counter with a crisp jab.
Shelton's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lawler connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shelton scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lawler circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Shelton to the canvas! Shelton doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Lawler keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Lawler!
