The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sandusky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sandusky moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Sandusky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson Jr keeps working.
Sandusky might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackson Jr haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sandusky is pressing down on Jackson Jr's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jackson Jr is holding on for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jackson Jr's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Sandusky is holding on here and Jackson Jr must be using up a lot of energy. Sandusky has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Jackson Jr gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
