Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sergei Kaspov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
33 - 34 - 1, fighting out of London, Zbigniew Ciosek!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaspov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kaspov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ciosek throws out the jab.
Ciosek takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kaspov swinging wildly here.
Ciosek takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Zbigniew Ciosek has been cut.
Kaspov throws a right hand that Ciosek ducks under and follows up with a left that Ciosek also avoids with ease.
Kaspov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ciosek tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kaspov is in Ciosek's guard.

Kaspov postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ciosek looking for a sweep. Not yet Ciosek, not yet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kaspov looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Kaspov distracts Ciosek with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kaspov is working Ciosek over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Kaspov's corner is telling him to maintain position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That has opened up Zbigniew Ciosek's cut even more.
Kaspov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Zbigniew Ciosek's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

A relieved looking Sergei Kaspov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
