Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Honey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masahiko Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Honey comes to the cage accompanied by Higher Love. The key to victory for Hugh Honey has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Masahiko Kimura!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honey moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Kimura tries to land knees in the clinch but Honey avoids the damage to the body.

Honey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

I was talking to Honey's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Kimura has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Honey uses from the top position.

Kimura looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Honey has picked Kimura up and slammed him! Kimura can't keep hold of the triangle and Honey manages to pass to side control!

Kimura shoots in looking for a takedown. Honey tries to sprawl out of it but Kimura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Honey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well Honey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
