The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Westbrook connects with a looping right hand.
No joy there for Westbrook, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Westbrook throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Simpson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Westbrook misses with a few strikes there.
Simpson on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Simpson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Westbrook throws a series of punches but Simpson avoids them all with ease.
Westbrook leaves Simpson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Westbrook swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Westbrook loads up on a big right hand but Simpson slips the punch.
Simpson feinted with a counter takedown.
Simpson shoots in for a double leg but Westbrook sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Norbert Simpson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Westbrook misses with a jab, cross combination.

Westbrook scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Simpson seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Westbrook shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Simpson is backing up but Westbrook catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Simpson covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Westbrook Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
