Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nigga Blackie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guilherme Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes throws a low kick but Blackie moves out of range easily.
Blackie half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

so Blackie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mendes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mendes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like Guilherme Mendes has been cut.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blackie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Blackie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mendes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Blackie has Mendes in his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
