The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodwin gets caught napping as Aly dives in and scores a takedown. Goodwin manages to retain guard.
Goodwin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Aly looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aly connects with a couple of short punches.
Aly pushes down on Goodwin's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Goodwin pushes Aly off looking to stand but Aly dives back in and keeps control.

Aly is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Goodwin sees it coming and defends easily.
Aly perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Goodwin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Aly scores with a couple of nice shots.
Goodwin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Aly stands and throws Goodwin's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aly is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Goodwin will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Goodwin can't escape the position.
Goodwin really wants to buck Aly off and get back to his feet.

Aly changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Goodwin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Aly tries to advance to mount but can't.
A lull in the action here as Aly stalls from top position.
Aly is putting a hurting on Goodwin here, landing some big shots from side control.

Aly lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goodwin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aly. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Goodwin is still in real trouble! Can Aly finish him?
Aly softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Goodwin is out cold! Aly jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
