Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Robin Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Baker!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker tries for a takedown but Tyson circles away easily

so Tyson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Tyson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Tyson stands up from Baker's guard - Tyson perhaps looking for a knockout.

Baker drives through and clinches with Tyson against the cage.
Baker drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tyson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tyson slaps away a takedown attempt from Baker, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Robin Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Baker.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Tyson wants to sweep but no luck.

Baker trying to control but Tyson is working from the bottom.

Tyson has his feet on Baker's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Nice uppercut there from Baker.

Baker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Baker controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Baker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tyson looking for a sweep. Not yet Tyson, not yet.

Baker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Baker trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Tyson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Baker trying to control but Tyson is working from the bottom.
Tyson controls Baker momentarily but Baker frees himself.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Tyson is looking for a triangle but Baker pushes his legs off easily.
Tyson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Baker trying to control but Tyson is working from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Baker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tyson avoids it really well and circles away.

Baker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Baker has Tyson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tyson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Baker is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tyson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Baker to the mat. Baker regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Tyson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Baker is proving hard to escape from.

Baker has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Tyson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Some wild striking there from Baker.

Tyson rushes Baker and presses him up against the cage.
Baker tries to score a body lock takedown but Tyson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Tyson is looking to break free of the clinch but Baker has double underhooks.
Baker is looking to take this one to the mat.

Tyson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tyson looking for a guillotine here but Baker defends easily.
Baker wants to pass the guard but Tyson is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Robin Tyson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Baker takes the fight into the clinch.
Baker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tyson walks away with a smile on his face. Baker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Robin Tyson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Baker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tyson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Robin Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Baker.

Baker manages to pull guard.
Baker wants to stand but Tyson is controlling the position.
Tyson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tyson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Tyson postures up in Baker's guard and throws a big left but Baker blocks it.

Tyson stands and steps away. Baker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Baker gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Tyson wants to get up but he can't break Baker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Robin Tyson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tyson gets to his feet - Baker follows without any prompting.
Baker is breathing heavily.
Baker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tyson defends well and Baker ends up having to push Tyson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Baker misses with a straight right.
Baker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Baker gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tyson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Tyson wants to stand but Baker is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tyson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Tyson wants to stand but Baker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Tyson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Baker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Tyson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Baker closes the distance and pushes Tyson back into the cage.
Baker has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tyson after a bit of a struggle.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Baker is trying to drag Tyson to the mat but Tyson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Baker has Tyson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tyson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Robin Tyson will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tyson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Baker's corner calls for a 1-2. Baker obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Baker gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Tyson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Baker has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tyson uses from the top position.
Tyson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Baker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tyson is controlling him.
Tyson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tyson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Baker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Baker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Baker!

Baker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Tyson can't do much from the bottom here.

Tyson throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

Baker is looking to take a break and control but Tyson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Tyson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Baker paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Baker shoots in for a double leg but Tyson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Baker closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tyson quickly recovers to half guard.
Baker is trying to control the action in half guard but Tyson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Tyson is trying is best to control the position here.
Tyson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Josh Baker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Robin Tyson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
