The bell rings for round one and we are underway! La Cerda blocks a head kick by BJJ.
BJJ avoids the head kick by La Cerda.
BJJ throws a lazy head kick and La Cerda counters with a three punch combo that has BJJ backing up. BJJ nods at La Cerda to acknowledge the strikes. BJJ fails with a takedown attempt from distance. La Cerda throws a right and a left that BJJ avoids nicely. La Cerda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but BJJ paws at him with a jab and circles away. BJJ misses with a body shot.
BJJ avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. La Cerda tests BJJ's chin there with a solid looking shot. La Cerda throws a one two combo.

BJJ closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming La Cerda to the mat! La Cerda manages to get full guard. La Cerda controls BJJ momentarily but BJJ frees himself. BJJ wants to pass the guard but La Cerda is keeping the position. BJJ lands a couple of elbows. La Cerda working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from BJJ. BJJ missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. BJJ prevents La Cerda from getting back to his feet. BJJ wants to control from the top but La Cerda keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. BJJ is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. BJJ in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. BJJ working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. BJJ trying to control but La Cerda is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. La Cerda misses with a double jab.
BJJ looks to land a body kick but La Cerda moved away. La Cerda throws a series of punches but BJJ avoids them all with ease.

La Cerda didn't expect that. BJJ throws a big right hand that misses. BJJ throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as La Cerda works some decent striking defense from the bottom. La Cerda working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from BJJ. BJJ wants to pass the guard but La Cerda is keeping the position. La Cerda keeping moving, preventing BJJ from controlling successfully. BJJ missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. BJJ loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. BJJ trying to control the position from guard on top but La Cerda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. BJJ shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts La Cerda as he jumps to the side. La Cerda keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from BJJ. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. BJJ misses with a combination
and La Cerda counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in BJJ's guard now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but I Am BJJ will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
BJJ misses with a hook. La Cerda ducked under it nicely. Rafael La Cerda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. La Cerda misses with a wild combination.
Rafael La Cerda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. La Cerda looks to land a combination but BJJ avoids it well. La Cerda shoots and misses and BJJ counters by moving into the clinch. La Cerda wants to break free but BJJ has control.
BJJ stalls. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. La Cerda is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. BJJ pulls guard successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. BJJ will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
BJJ is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. La Cerda won't allow BJJ to sweep him here. La Cerda gets to his feet. BJJ looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! La Cerda scores with a kick to the body.
BJJ tries for a takedown but La Cerda sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. La Cerda gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and BJJ counters by clinching up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. La Cerda wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but BJJ has him pressed against the cage. BJJ is stalling here.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. BJJ is working for takedown but La Cerda is calmly controlling the position for now. La Cerda can't break the clinch.

BJJ circles away from the clinch attempt and BJJ counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by BJJ. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

BJJ postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. BJJ content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. La Cerda trying to control the position.
BJJ slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. BJJ throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. BJJ throws an elbow but La Cerda slips to the side and avoids it well. Sloppy strikes there by BJJ.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. BJJ misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
BJJ lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear La Cerda down.

BJJ wants to control but La Cerda is keeping him busy. BJJ controls the position. BJJ in side control, throwing shots but La Cerda defends. BJJ looks up at the clock and then as La Cerda takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, BJJ smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
I Am BJJ showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

BJJ is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. That's three minutes gone in the round. BJJ trying to control the position from guard on top but La Cerda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. BJJ throwing strikes but missing. BJJ is looking to advance position but La Cerda has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! BJJ is working to get back to half guard.
I Am BJJ is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. La Cerda avoids the attempt from BJJ to control. Rafael La Cerda has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! BJJ is working to get back to half guard.
BJJ regains half guard. BJJ preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. BJJ takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. BJJ avoiding damage under a succession of punches from La Cerda.
And that's the end of the fight! I Am BJJ comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got BJJ winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
