Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pit Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Strikes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mies might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Condemned 84 - Face the agression. Carlos Strikes will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pit Mies! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
42 - 38 - 2, fighting out of London, Carlos Strikes! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mies gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mies is looking to stand back up but Strikes counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mies. Strikes is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Mies is trying to get back to full guard. Mies tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Mies is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Strikes pulls his head out easily. Mies might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mies striking from half guard on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strikes missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Strikes trying to control the pace. Mies punching from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mies moves into full guard.
Strikes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mies working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Strikes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Strikes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mies has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Strikes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Strikes is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mies striking off his back but it's not causing Strikes any problems. Mies throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Strikes looking to pass the guard. Strikes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mies throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Strikes controls from within his opponent's guard. Mies working a defensive guard but Strikes manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strikes remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Strikes working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Strikes controlling the position. Strikes stands up. Strikes closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mies's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mies can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Strikes controls the pace. Strikes gets to his feet - Mies follows without any prompting. Mies blocks a head kick by Strikes.
Strikes moves in looking to clinch but Mies pushes him off. Mies swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Strikes throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mies goes for a double leg but Strikes avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Strikes continues to drive forward. Strikes lands a big head kick that sends Mies tumbling to the mat! Strikes takes a step backwards and waves Mies back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Mies is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Strikes dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Strikes keeps Mies at a distance using the push kick. Strikes has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Strikes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Oh Mies is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mies gets back to half guard. Mies seems to have got his legs back now. Strikes controlling the action here. Strikes stands up from half guard. Strikes lands a slapping body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strikes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Strikes slows the pace down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mies is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mies actively working from the bottom here. Strikes wants to pass to mount but Mies is defending the position. Strikes passes to side control. Mies looks to move to half guard but instead Strikes has passed into mount! Damn! Strikes controlling from mount. Mies is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mies gets back to half guard. Mies is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Strikes has latched onto it... Big trouble! Strikes pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Mies is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Carlos Strikes! A very excited looking Carlos Strikes made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. In defeat, Pit Mies stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will be back stronger!'.
