Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Mcintyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiari Cephus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiari Cephus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ronald Mcintyre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kiari Cephus!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcintyre shoots in looking for a takedown. Cephus tries to sprawl out of it but Mcintyre keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cephus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcintyre bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cephus's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mcintyre won't allow Cephus to sweep him here.
Mcintyre keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cephus's head.

Mcintyre has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cephus wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Mcintyre is now in half guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Cephus manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Cephus lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Cephus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Mcintyre is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cephus pulls his head out easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Ronald Mcintyre will probably get the nod.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cephus is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Can Cephus hold on?! Mcintyre is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Cephus is trying to control but can't.

Mcintyre is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Cephus moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mcintyre content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcintyre throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cephus works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cephus avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Cephus is trying to keep Mcintyre in close.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cephus looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mcintyre puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ronald Mcintyre will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Mcintyre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cephus pinned against the cage. Cephus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As Mcintyre backs off Cephus throws a huge counter combo but Mcintyre manages to avoid it all.
Cephus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
As Cephus tries to get set, Mcintyre tries to push him back and clinch up but Cephus manages to avoid the attempt.
A jab from Cephus does it's job there.

Cephus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Mcintyre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cephus can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cephus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mcintyre manages to get himself to full guard.

Mcintyre is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Cephus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcintyre keeps working.

Cephus throws a strike but Mcintyre avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Let's hope that Cephus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cephus manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mcintyre on his heels. He'll look to pass Mcintyre's guard now, I'm sure.

Mcintyre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cephus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mcintyre has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cephus is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mcintyre.
Kiari Cephus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ronald Mcintyre is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cephus throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Mcintyre works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Kiari Cephus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mcintyre has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
