The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Larsen.

Larsen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Simpson's guard.
Larsen controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Larsen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Larsen advances to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Larsen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Larsen in particular looking to stall.

Larsen is looking to work some ground and pound but Simpson has wrist control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Larsen moves into the clinch.

Larsen has picked Simpson up - he's going for a ride! Larsen dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Larsen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Larsen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Still in half guard, Larsen seems content to control.
Simpson has hold of Larsen's hands but Larsen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Larsen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Larsen lands a big elbow - Simpson is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Larsen!
