Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mon Ster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gomu Gomu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ster swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gomu on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ster takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Mon Ster has been cut.

Ster avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ster is looking to counter punch.
Ster tries to move into range but Gomu moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Gomu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ster manages to avoid it.

It seemed like Gomu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Ster cracks Gomu with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Gomu Gomu has been cut.

Gomu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Ster takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Ster connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ster gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Gomu digs a good hook to Ster's body.
Gomu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Good leg kick by Ster there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ster avoids the head kick by Gomu.
Gomu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It looked like Ster wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Gomu tries to land a front kick but Ster steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

A bone on bone clash there as Ster blocks the leg kick.
Gomu is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ster had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Gomu swings for the body but Ster moves out of range.

and Ster counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gomu misses with a low kick.
Gomu throws a looping overhand right but Ster ducks down to avoid it.
Gomu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
An attempted straight right counter from Ster misses the target.
Ster throws a chopping leg kick but Gomu manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Gomu tries to move into range but Ster moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ster backing away here, and Gomu unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Ster rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gomu makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Gomu throws a sloppy head kick and Ster moves out of range easily.

Ster drops Gomu with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gomu looks back up at him and smiles so Ster waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Gomu is rocked!
That has opened up Gomu Gomu's cut even more.
Look low, kick high! Ster uses the oldest trick in the book to send Gomu tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Ster is absolutely delighted - when Gomu wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Mon Ster!
In his post fight interview, Mon Ster started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
