Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ontsiflao Kiegurth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ontsiflao Kiegurth has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Santiago Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ontsiflao Kiegurth! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong forces Kiegurth back against the cage and clinches. Armstrong tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Armstrong tries to break the clinch but Kiegurth is controlling the position. Armstrong letting Kiegurth take a breather here. Armstrong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kiegurth misses with the combination.
No joy there for Armstrong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Armstrong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiegurth pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kiegurth forces Armstrong back against the cage and clinches. Kiegurth pulls guard successfully.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kiegurth can do anything to dispel that myth. Armstrong content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Armstrong postures up and lands a big shot to Kiegurth's brow. Armstrong missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kiegurth tries to land a sweep but no joy. Armstrong is looking to work some ground and pound but Kiegurth has wrist control. Kiegurth avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kiegurth looking for a sweep. Not yet Kiegurth, not yet. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Armstrong is in close to Kiegurth's body, working some short punches and elbows. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Armstrong's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kiegurth wants to sweep here but Armstrong controlling him for the moment. Armstrong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kiegurth works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Armstrong postures up.

Armstrong content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Armstrong lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Armstrong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Armstrong throws a big right hand that misses. Armstrong is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Armstrong postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Armstrong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kiegurth works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kiegurth looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Armstrong puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Armstrong not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Armstrong landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Kiegurth is looking for a sweep. Armstrong is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Armstrong is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kiegurth on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Armstrong lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Santiago Armstrong dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kiegurth is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Armstrong's half guard. Kiegurth slows the pace down in half guard. Armstrong is trying to stand up here but Kiegurth is controlling him well. Armstrong has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Kiegurth is on him like a limpet, forcing Armstrong back against the cage. Kiegurth on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiegurth breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kiegurth pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. As Kiegurth looks to move away, Armstrong throws a big counter combo but Kiegurth just gets out of the way. A momentary lapse in concentration from Armstrong enables Kiegurth to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Armstrong manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Armstrong wants to stand up but Kiegurth is controlling him.

Kiegurth scores with a takedown into Armstrong's guard. Kiegurth looking to sit in guard and control but Armstrong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kiegurth is trying to keep Armstrong in close.

Armstrong winds up and cracks Kiegurth with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Armstrong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kiegurth can do to turn this around? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Armstrong lands with a punch from half guard. Kiegurth tries to roll over but Armstrong keeps him under control. Kiegurth keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Armstrong is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Kiegurth on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Armstrong is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kiegurth defends it well. Nice strikes from Armstrong there. Armstrong thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kiegurth wants to control but Armstrong is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kiegurth is breathing heavily. Armstrong slips a nice elbow through Kiegurth's hands, connecting with Kiegurth's forehead. Armstrong looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kiegurth drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Armstrong is not content to let Kiegurth control the position. Armstrong gets back to half guard. Armstrong postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Armstrong keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kiegurth's head. Kiegurth avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kiegurth is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Armstrong thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Armstrong lands with a punch from half guard. Armstrong winds up and cracks Kiegurth with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Armstrong working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kiegurth is trying to control but Armstrong passes into side control!

Kiegurth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Armstrong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Armstrong fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Kiegurth takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Armstrong is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Kiegurth trying to control from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight! Santiago Armstrong showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Armstrong, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
