The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekaku Jr chopping away at his opponent's legs.

McQuade just misses with a punch to the body.
McQuade rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ekaku Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ekaku Jr throws a looping overhand right but McQuade ducks down to avoid it.
Ekaku Jr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McQuade lands a nice shot to the body.
McQuade's coach down at Jitsu Jim was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on McQuade's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Hakuin Ekaku Jr will probably get the nod.
