These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bonerz McGee!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, George Nassar!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nassar's hands.
Nice defenses there by McGee.
McGee takes a jab right on the kisser.
McGee takes one on the button.
McGee moves out of range as Nassar strikes.
McGee fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Nassar is out of range.
A jab lands there for McGee.
McGee looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McGee throws a right hand that Nassar ducks under and follows up with a left that Nassar also avoids with ease.
Nassar slips a straight right by McGee.
McGee takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nassar throws an ugly left hook that misses

and McGee counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Nassar!

Nassar throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A punch combination from Nassar misses.
Nassar throws a hook but McGee avoids it easily.
McGee looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Nassar sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
McGee lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nassar's sensitive parts.
McGee looks to clinch
and Nassar counters with a three punch combo that has McGee backing up. McGee nods at Nassar to acknowledge the strikes.
McGee looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McGee drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nassar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nassar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


Nassar is rocked!
McGee moves in close and cracks Nassar with a massive right hand! Nassar, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by McGee!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bonerz McGee!
Bonerz McGee retains his lightweight title!
Bonerz McGee seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
