PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Don Gotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hashimoto's choice of entrance music: Tomoki Hasegawa - Lemon Song. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Don Gotti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Takeshi Hashimoto!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Hashimoto decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gotti's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gotti stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Gotti drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hashimoto manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gotti has Hashimoto in his guard.

Gotti looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hashimoto has picked Gotti up and slammed him! Gotti can't keep hold of the triangle and Hashimoto manages to pass to side control!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hashimoto's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Gotti cracks Hashimoto with a right hand to the side of the head.

Gotti looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hashimoto not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hashimoto accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gotti isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hashimoto stacks Gotti on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hashimoto!

Hashimoto is stalling here. Gotti is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hashimoto seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gotti has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Takeshi Hashimoto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hashimoto has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
