Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tripin Balls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shin Ichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Balls.
No luck for Ichi with that takedown attempt.
Ichi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Balls.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ichi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ichi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Balls counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ichi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

We've been hearing good reports from Balls's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

and Ichi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Balls won't be happy with that.

Balls has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ichi is working away from the top position though.
Ichi is stalling here. Balls is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ichi seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Balls has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Balls is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Ichi still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Ichi has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
