Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Walter Kurtz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Stoker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurtz comes to the cage accompanied by Adagio For Strings. Stoker has chosen Slum Village - Ooh Wee as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Walter Kurtz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Edward Stoker! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stoker scores with a nice body kick.
Kurtz pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Stoker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Stoker throws a jab when Kurtz was well out of range. Stoker wants to land a leg kick but Kurtz is out of range. Kurtz throws the kick towards the body but Stoker avoids it. Kurtz looks to land a right hand but Stoker moved out of range. Kurtz looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Good leg kick by Kurtz there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kurtz throws a leg kick but Stoker sees it coming and checks it nicely. Stoker walks into a stiff left hand from Kurtz. Kurtz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kurtz lands in his opponent's guard. Stoker keeping moving, preventing Kurtz from controlling successfully. Kurtz tries to free his leg and advance position but Stoker is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stoker pulls Kurtz in to control the position. Let's hope that Stoker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kurtz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stoker's guard. Stoker trying to control here.
Stoker is not content to let Kurtz control the position. Kurtz prevents Stoker from standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stoker pulls Kurtz in close to his closed guard and prevents Kurtz from doing any damage or advancing position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kurtz trying to control but Stoker is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kurtz blocks a leg kick. Kurtz staying out of range there. Stoker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stoker lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kurtz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kurtz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Stoker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kurtz has him pressed against the cage.

Stoker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stoker thumps Kurtz with a low kick. Kurtz misses with a series of wild punches.
Kurtz moves out of range as Stoker strikes. Stoker takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Edward Stoker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stoker lands a nice shot that snaps Kurtz's head back.
Nice defenses there by Stoker. Stoker throws a leg kick and Kurtz counters with a body kick that stops Stoker in his tracks momentarily. Stoker lands a leg kick that knocks Kurtz off balance momentarily. Kurtz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stoker sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jab from Kurtz. Stoker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Stoker takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Kurtz throws an overhand right that lands on Stoker's shoulder, as Stoker tries to avoid the shot. Kurtz connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Stoker looks to score with a jab to the body but Kurtz is just out of range. Kurtz clinches up against the cage. Stoker swings wildly with an uppercut but Kurtz uses good head movement to avoid it. Kurtz lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kurtz works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Edward Stoker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stoker throws a hook but Kurtz avoids it easily. Stoker finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kurtz throws a body shot but no joy. Stoker looks to land a right hand but Kurtz moved out of range. Stoker lands with an uppercut that bounces Kurtz off the cage and back into range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good work by Stoker as he checks the leg kick. The fighters circling - Kurtz throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Stoker connects with a crisp jab. Kurtz slips a jab and a cross from Stoker.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stoker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kurtz throws an overhand right that lands on Stoker's shoulder, as Stoker tries to avoid the shot. Stoker connects with a body shot that sends Kurtz's belly button to the back. Kurtz slips under a jab. Stoker tries a head kick but it misses.

Kurtz throws a lazy body kick and Stoker counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kurtz's knee momentarily. Kurtz with a jab. Stoker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kurtz throws out the jab. Stoker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kurtz moves away. Kurtz lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Stoker is looking to chop away at Kurtz's legs. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Stoker.

Stoker moves forwards but Kurtz connects with a nice, crisp jab. Kurtz chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stoker can pounce on him.

Stoker throws a half hearted mid kick. As Stoker tries to get set, Kurtz tries to push him back and clinch up but Stoker manages to avoid the attempt. Stoker takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kurtz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stoker thows a body kick. Kurtz tries to catch it but that hurt him. Stoker pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That was a close round but Walter Kurtz did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Walter Kurtz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kurtz trying to control but Stoker is working from the bottom. Stoker is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close fourth round but I would say that Walter Kurtz will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Stoker throws an overhand right that lands on Kurtz's shoulder, as Kurtz tries to avoid the shot. Kurtz thinks about countering with a body kick. Stoker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kurtz tried to counter with a leg kick but Stoker avoided it. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kurtz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Stoker - the referee stops the clock and Kurtz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Stoker. Kurtz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Stoker with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Stoker lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Kurtz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stoker pinned against the cage. Stoker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Stoker throws a lazy uppercut
and Kurtz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kurtz cracks the inside of Stoker's front leg.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Edward Stoker. I think Kurtz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
