Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eldon Stanton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Griffen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eldon Stanton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Griffen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Griffen lands in his opponent's guard. Griffen advances position into side control! Griffen wants to control but Stanton is keeping him busy. Griffen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Stanton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Stanton has his feet on Griffen's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Griffen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Griffen missing with knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffen scores a nice knee to the body.
Stanton tries to pull guard but Griffen holds him up against the cage and eventually Stanton drops back down to his feet.
Griffen misses with a hook to the ribs.
Griffen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stanton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Griffen to score an easy takedown into full guard. Stanton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Griffen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Griffen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stanton is on top in guard.
Griffen wriggles free and stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stanton drives through with a takedown into Griffen's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Griffen tries to strike from the bottom.
Griffen being controlled here, momentarily. Stanton wants to control from the top but Griffen keeps moving. Stanton seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stanton working some strikes from top position. Griffen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Stanton has picked Griffen up and slammed him! Griffen can't keep hold of the triangle and Stanton manages to pass to side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stanton taking a breather here. Stanton scoring with punches and elbows. Griffen wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sloppy strikes there by Stanton. Stanton is staying tight to Griffen's torso, preventing him from escaping. Stanton gets to mount! Griffen was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Griffen gets back to half guard. Stanton stops Griffen from getting back to his feet.

Griffen is concentrating on defense, preventing Stanton from advancing position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chuck Griffen will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Griffen pushes Stanton up against the cage in a clinch. Griffen lands a takedown into guard.
Stanton wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Griffen manages to pass to side control. Griffen trying to control the action but Stanton is working from the bottom. Stanton makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Stanton. Stanton throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Griffen trying to control but Stanton is working from the bottom. Stanton wants to sweep but no luck. Stanton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stanton trying to keep a closed guard but Griffen is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stanton pulls Griffen in close to prevent any damage. Stanton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Griffen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Griffen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Griffen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Stanton has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Griffen off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stanton's half guard. Stanton pushes Griffen off and gets back to his feet. Griffen scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stanton moves into full guard.
Griffen prevents Stanton from getting back to his feet. Griffen throwing strikes from guard but Stanton blocks nicely. Griffen trying to control the position from guard on top but Stanton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Griffen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stanton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Griffen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stanton working a defensive guard here.
Griffen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stanton, up you get! Griffen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stanton tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Griffen is in Stanton's guard. Griffen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Griffen is breathing heavily. Griffen stopping the sweep attempt from Stanton. Stanton trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Griffen won't allow Stanton to sweep him here. Eldon Stanton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stanton throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Griffen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stanton swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stanton is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Stanton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stanton looking for a guillotine here but Griffen defends easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stanton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Eldon Stanton will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Can Stanton avoid being mounted? Griffen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Griffen is trying to control the action in half guard but Stanton is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Stanton looking for submissions off his back. Stanton looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Griffen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stanton is controlling Griffen's trapped leg to prevent Griffen from advancing to side control. Stanton tries to roll over but Griffen keeps him under control. Griffen is keen to just control but Stanton is a slippery customer. Griffen trying to pass the guard but Stanton defending well. Griffen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Stanton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Griffen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Griffen's back! Stanton is riding his opponent, not letting Griffen buck him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stanton has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Griffen. Griffen is really stuck here.
Stanton throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Griffen!
Stanton keeps control of the position as Griffen tries to break free.
Griffen is covering up but some of the strikes from Stanton are getting through and doing damage.
Griffen just trying to survive but Stanton is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffen is really stuck here.
Griffen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stanton lands a shot to the head. Stanton is landing with strikes from the back. Stanton working for a choke but Griffen is defending well. Griffen is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Stanton off. It looks like it's working - Stanton slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Griffen displaying calm under pressure there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Griffen instigates a clinch. Griffen pulls guard. Griffen wants to sweep but no luck. Griffen tries to strike from the bottom.
Stanton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Griffen has an active guard here but Stanton has managed to pass into half guard.
Stanton takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eldon Stanton. I think Stanton has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
