Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Duggan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggan's entrance music is Five Finger Death Punch- Bad Company . A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Duggan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Kerr! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerr doesn't manage to clinch there - Duggan circles away.
Kerr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Duggan. Kerr moves into the clinch. Kerr blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Duggan working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Duggan looking for a takedown. Duggan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. A nice right hand lands inside from Duggan. Duggan scores with a nice hook to the head. Duggan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Kerr misses with a hook from the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kerr lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Duggan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kerr lands a jab to the head.

Duggan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kerr's elbow. Kerr misses with a short punch on the inside. This has been an exciting period of action! Kerr throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Duggans head. Kerr is working Duggan over against the cage. Duggan is breathing heavily. Duggan turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duggan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kerr sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Duggan throwing shots but missing, from side control. Kerr gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Kerr tries to roll over but Duggan keeps him under control. Duggan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kerr wants to control the action here but instead Duggan manages to pass to full mount! Kerr is looking to improve his position but Duggan isn't that keen on the idea. Kerr tries to hold on but Duggan pushes him away. Kerr has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Kerr sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Duggan working over Kerr with some ground and pound. Kerr looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Duggan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Kerr is trying to hold Duggan in close to prevent damage but Duggan has managed to pass into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Jim Duggan will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kerr prevents a body shot from Duggan. Duggan is looking to control Kerr's arms but Kerr gets an underhook and turns him. Now Duggan has his back to the cage. Kerr swings away with an uppercut that misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duggan stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Kerr swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Duggan lands a hook that snaps the head of Kerr backwards. Kerr lands a shoulder strike. Duggan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Duggan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Kerr has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Duggan. A chopping leg kick lands by Duggan. Kerr keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Duggan. Kerr rushes Duggan and presses him up against the cage. Kerr blocks an uppercut.

Kerr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Jim Duggan has been cut. Kerr is looking to clinch. Mark Kerr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kerr looks to clinch and Duggan counters with a shoot takedown. Kerr fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kerr looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kerr holds on and takes a little breather. Kerr not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Duggan wants to control from the top but Kerr keeps moving. Kerr controls Duggan momentarily but Duggan frees himself. Kerr looking to hit a scissor sweep but Duggan is one step ahead there. Kerr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerr looking for a sweep. Not yet Kerr, not yet. Duggan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kerr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kerr not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kerr content to control rather than advance. Kerr sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Duggan defending well though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kerr throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kerr is refusing to be controlled, as Duggan sits in half guard. Jim Duggan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kerr wants to improve his position but Duggan is controlling well.

Kerr wants to control the position but Duggan says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Duggan landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Kerr is staying active underneath Duggan, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kerr gets full guard. Duggan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Duggan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Duggan trying to control the position from guard on top but Kerr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mark Kerr has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kerr wants to control but Duggan is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jim Duggan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerr might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Duggan haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kerr is on top in guard.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jim Duggan. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Duggan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
