The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erik throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Erik looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Erik closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Erik pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith is looking to clinch.
Erik throws a combination. Smith tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Erik stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Erik scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Erik has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Erik's temple.
Smith is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Erik is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
