Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Socratess Delira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otavio Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Socratess Delira looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Socratess Delira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Otavio Johnson! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Delira. Delira pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Delira misses with a combination
and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Delira pushes Johnson off and gets back to his feet. Delira throws a front kick aimed at Johnson's knee but Johnson avoids it well. Johnson steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Delira. Delira really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Delira swings away with a leg kick that misses. Johnson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Socratess Delira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Delira throws a leg kick but Johnson sees it coming and checks it nicely. Johnson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Delira.
Johnson wants to counter with a clinch but Delira pushes him away. Johnson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Delira did well to prevent Johnson getting side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Delira sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Delira flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson seems to be working for a kimura but Delira defends the submission attempt. Johnson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Delira defends it well. Johnson is nestled in close to Delira, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson is trying to work for a kimura but Delira is defending well.
Johnson is thwarting Delira's attempts to control the position. Johnson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Delira tries to roll over but Johnson keeps him under control. Delira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Delira is working hard here to advance position. Johnson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Delira manages to escape and get back to his feet! Delira throws a leg kick that is checked and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Delira is breathing heavily. Delira is trying to keep Johnson in close.
Delira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Johnson slips nicely into half guard. Johnson is working for a kimura but Delira is defending it quite comfortably.
Johnson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Delira tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Johnson!
