Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Dance! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Andersson! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dance darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Andersson tries to roll over but Dance keeps him under control. Dance not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Andersson is trying to control but can't.
Dance thows a huge punch but Andersson dodges it nicely.
Dance has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dance winds up and cracks Andersson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Andersson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dance. Dance is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Andersson is looking to improve his position.
Dance slips a nice elbow through Andersson's hands, connecting with Andersson's forehead.
Andersson is rocked! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Andersson can do anything to dispel that myth. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dance is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Andersson has managed to free his arm - good work. Andersson is still in real trouble! Can Dance finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Dance passes to side control. Dance scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Andersson is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Dance can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
