Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eusebio Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexi Kapanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kapanen has chosen Battle Beast-"Lost In Wars" as his entrance music. Eusebio Parker has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alexi Kapanen!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kapanen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Parker's half guard.
Kapanen wants to pass the guard but Parker is defending well.

Parker has one foot on Kapanen's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Kapanen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Parker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kapanen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kapanen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Parker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kapanen has Parker in his guard.

Alexi Kapanen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee asks Kapanen politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kapanen prefers to stall for the moment though.

Well Kapanen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
