Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Riders! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zhuy Hong! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riders shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hong as he jumps to the side. Hong slips under a jab. A jab from Riders misses. Riders takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Riders darts in and clinches Hong up against the cage. Hong looking to throw knees to the head but Riders is blocking nicely.
Hong connects with a nasty looking knee right to Riders's face.
It looks like John Riders has been cut. Hong with an attempt at a knee that misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hong landing knees to the head.
Riders is rocked! Riders wants to break free but Hong has control.
Hong lands a left hand.
Oh Riders is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Riders has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hong after a bit of a struggle. Riders is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hong gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Riders. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hong throws a knee to the head but misses.
Riders seems to have got his legs back now. A knee to the head by Hong.

Riders is breathing heavily. Hong lands a big knee to the head and Riders goes down! Hong is looking to finish! This has been an exciting period of action! Hong is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Riders is trying to escape and Hong transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Riders is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hong! Very nice indeed!
