The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benjamin swings widly with a right hand
and Fitzpatrick counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Zerk Benjamin has been cut.
Benjamin lands a really nice looking cross but Fitzpatrick seems unphased.
Fitzpatrick darts in and clinches Benjamin up against the cage.
Fitzpatrick lands a big left hand right to the temple and Benjamin goes down!

Benjamin ducks straight into an uppercut from Fitzpatrick and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Benjamin manages to regain guard straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fitzpatrick postures up in Benjamin's guard and throws a big left but Benjamin blocks it.
Benjamin seems to have got his legs back now.
Fitzpatrick postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Fitzpatrick controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fitzpatrick passes Benjamin's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Fitzpatrick gets through Benjamin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Fitzpatrick lands a nice shot to the body.
Fitzpatrick digs a right hand underneath Benjamin's ribcage. Benjamin let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Fitzpatrick is stalking Benjamin. Benjamin circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Fitzpatrick, and it's lights out! Benjamin really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
