Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Arderos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramazan Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramazan Magomedov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricky Arderos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ramazan Magomedov!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov doesn't manage to clinch there - Arderos circles away.
Arderos decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Magomedov is trying to stand.
Arderos looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Arderos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Magomedov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Arderos.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Arderos is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Magomedov reverses the position - he's now on top in Arderos's guard.

Arderos has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Magomedov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Arderos.
Arderos looks to move to half guard but instead Magomedov has passed into mount! Damn!

Magomedov is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Magomedov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Arderos swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Arderos throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Magomedov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arderos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Magomedov is one step ahead there.
Magomedov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Arderos, up you get!
Arderos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Magomedov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Magomedov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Arderos throws a hook to the side of Magomedov's head but Magomedov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Magomedov tries to clinch but Arderos is having none of it.
Arderos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Magomedov was covering up waiting for the punch and Arderos finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Arderos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Arderos throws his legs up looking for a submission but Magomedov uses it to pass to side control.

Arderos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Magomedov has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Arderos is on him like a limpet, forcing Magomedov back against the cage.

Arderos has picked Magomedov up - he's going for a ride! Arderos dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Magomedov manages to escape and get back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
