Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wylan Mercy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Page has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Michael Page will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Page throws a head kick that misses.
Mercy tries to counter with a takedown but Page is quick to defend against it.
Mercy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Page as he avoids it easily.
Page defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mercy .
Mercy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Page counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Page moves into the clinch.
Page throws an elbow that misses.
Mercy on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mercy wants to break free but Page has control.

Page tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mercy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Michael Page seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mercy scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Mercy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mercy stands up over Page, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Page tries to stall but Mercy uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Mercy wants the takedown. Page is fighting it off but Mercy persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Page's guard against the cage.
Page is looking to stand back up but Mercy counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Page.

Mercy with shots to the head and body - Page looks very uncomfortable down there.

Mercy is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Mercy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mercy shoots in for a double leg but Page sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Page wants to clinch up but Mercy keeps it at a distance.
Mercy throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Mercy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mercy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Page wants to get back to his feet but Mercy drags him back down.
Page is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Page wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mercy manages to pass to side control.
Wylan Mercy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Page pushes Mercy off looking to stand but Mercy dives back in and keeps control.

Mercy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Page for as long as he can get away with.

Page feints a counter leg kick.
Mercy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Page's waist but Page gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mercy off to one side.
Page drives through and clinches with Mercy against the cage.
Mercy is looking to break free of the clinch but Page has double underhooks.
Page is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Page letting Mercy take a breather here.

Mercy takes a knee to the side of the body.
Page with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Mercy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Page walks away with a smile on his face. Mercy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

A looping hook to the body misses from Page. Mercy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mercy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Page can do to turn this around?

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mercy takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Mercy 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

It looked like Mercy was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Page.
Wylan Mercy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mercy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Page tries to clinch there but Mercy circles away.
Mercy throws a head kick that misses.
A slapping body kick lands there for Page.
Page displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mercy throws out the jab.
Page fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mercy , pushing him back against the cage.
Page gets underhooks to prevent Mercy 's takedown attempt.

Page is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mercy is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Page to the mat. Page regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mercy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Mercy has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Page should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mercy has tightened it up now! Page should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
