Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Can Crusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neal Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Can Crusher has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Can Crusher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neal Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz jabs Crusher right on the nose. Crusher blinks but takes it well.
Crusher is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diaz.
A jab from Crusher misses.
Crusher avoids the body shot from Diaz.
Crusher looks to throw the jab but Diaz is out of range.
Crusher with a nice cross.
Crusher takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Diaz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Crusher throws out the jab.
Diaz throws out a loose jab but Crusher uses good head movement to avoid it.
Can Crusher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz walks into a straight right hand from Crusher.
Diaz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Crusher lands a jab.
Crusher looks to throw the jab but Diaz is out of range.
Crusher connects with a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crusher moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Crusher clinches up with Diaz and pushes him back against the cage.
Diaz tries to break free but Crusher pushes him back against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Diaz.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Diaz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Crusher walks away with a smile on his face. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Diaz stuns Crusher with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Diaz takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Diaz throws a lazy uppercut
and Crusher makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Crusher throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Diaz walks into a left hand.

Diaz closes the distance and pushes Crusher back into the cage.

Diaz jumps into guard, dragging Crusher to the mat.

Diaz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Crusher is aware though and is defending well.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crusher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Diaz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Diaz looking for a guillotine here but Crusher defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Crusher is posturing up here but Diaz has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Crusher tries to roll out but it's too tight and Crusher has to tap! Slick submission there by Diaz!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Neal Diaz!
Neal Diaz tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
