Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rock Chuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Francisco Modesto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Modesto has chosen Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rock Chuck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Francisco Modesto! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Modesto swings for the body but Chuck moves out of range.
A quick step to the side and Chuck tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Modesto misses with a wild body shot. It looked like Chuck was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Chuck looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Modesto now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Modesto missing with a left hand there. Chuck was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Chuck went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Chuck closes the distance and pushes Modesto back into the cage. Modesto pushes Chuck back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Modesto goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Modesto trying to control the position but instead, Chuck has worked for underhooks and has pushed Modesto into the cage. Chuck throws a head punch that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Modesto has Chuck pressed against the cage.

Chuck has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Modesto is trying to keep an underhook but Chuck manages to get the takedown into half guard. Modesto is trying to escape back to his feet but Chuck uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Chuck tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chuck has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Modesto is holding Chuck down, trying to stall. Modesto is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Modesto is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Modesto keeping hold of Chuck's head, controlling as best he can. Chuck wants to free his trapped foot but Modesto is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chuck not doing much here.
Modesto is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Modesto actively working from the bottom here. Modesto wants to control but Chuck is keeping busy.
Modesto keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Modesto tries to kick Chuck off but Chuck keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Modesto is looking for a sweep. Chuck is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Modesto trying to hold on to Chuck's head to control him but Chuck postures up.
Chuck lands strikes from half guard. Chuck working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Modesto's thigh. Modesto counters though and makes it back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Chuck gets to his feet. Modesto looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Modesto throws a nice looking combination but Chuck bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Modesto swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chuck looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Chuck tries to close the distance and clinch up but Modesto swats him away and circles back towards the center. A head kick misses from Chuck. Chuck ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Modesto swinging wildly here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Modesto looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Chuck lands with a kick to the temple. Modesto shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Carlos Francisco Modesto will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Chuck tries to score a body lock takedown but Modesto shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Modesto tries to work over Chuck's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Chuck is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Modesto gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Modesto throws a head punch that misses. Modesto prevents the takedown attempt.

Modesto fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Modesto stuffs the takedown attempt from Chuck. Chuck gets slowly back to his feet. Chuck connects with a looping right hand.
Chuck lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. This has been an exciting period of action! Chuck tries to clinch up.

Modesto throws out a loose jab but Chuck uses good head movement to avoid it. Modesto missing with a left hand there. Chuck was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Modesto lunges at Chuck with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Chuck's hand. Chuck closes the distance but Modesto moves to the side enabling Modesto to counter with a crisp jab. Chuck closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Modesto is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Modesto manages to get back to half guard. Modesto slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chuck trying to control but Modesto is working from the bottom. Chuck looking to sit in guard and control but Modesto gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chuck pulls Modesto in to control the position. Modesto controls from within his opponent's guard. Modesto has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Den of Tears (22 coaches). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Chuck is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Modesto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Donk. Modesto catches Chuck right on the button with a cross. Chuck doesn't manage to clinch there - Modesto circles away.

Chuck has hold of Modesto's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Modesto seems comfortable defending it but Chuck has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Modesto is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Modesto is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Chuck couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rock Chuck! Rock Chuck decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
