Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ De Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix. De Santos is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 25 Ta Life - Fight Dirty. TJ De Santos acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, TJ De Santos!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ben Watson and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson blocks the body kick.
De Santos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Johnson in his tracks.

De Santos bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Johnson's head.
De Santos's coach down at Archon Dojo was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on De Santos's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
De Santos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing De Santos off to one side.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

De Santos is trying to get back to his feet but Johnson has full control of the position and if anything, De Santos has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Johnson has the hooks in. De Santos is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
