Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Marx Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Sane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sane has chosen Fast Lane as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Marx Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Sane! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ron Honeybunn and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sane shoots in for a takedown but Marx Jr shows good takedown defense. Marx Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Sane, before circling back to the center of the mat. Marx Jr cracks Sane with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Justin Sane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A low kick from Sane is predictable there and Marx Jr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sane's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sane controls Marx Jr momentarily but Marx Jr frees himself. Marx Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sane swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sane keeping moving, preventing Marx Jr from controlling successfully. Sane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Marx Jr defends it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sane throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sane has momentary wrist control but Marx Jr slips an elbow through the middle. Marx Jr stands up over Sane, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. We've been hearing that Marx Jr has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Sane has his foot on Marx Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marx Jr works his way back into a safe position though. Sane striking off his back but it's not causing Marx Jr any problems. Sane looking for a sweep. Not yet Sane, not yet. Marx Jr engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Marx Jr trying to control but Sane is working from the bottom. Sane looking for a sweep. Not yet Sane, not yet. Sane being controlled here, momentarily. Sane throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sane is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sane doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A decent looking body kick lands there for Sane. Marx Jr checks a low kick from Sane. Marx Jr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marx Jr wants it to stay on the feet. Mark Marx Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Sane. Marx Jr throws a looping overhand right but Sane ducks down to avoid it. Marx Jr steps in with a hook that catches Sane right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Marx Jr follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Sane looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Marx Jr! Our winner, Mark Marx Jr, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
