Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sum Ting Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Hound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Hound acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sum Ting Wong! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Hound! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hound doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Hound circles away from the clinch attempt and Wong takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hound throws a good cross that connects.
Wong throws a solid leg kick but Hound takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Wong. Hound closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wong to the mat! Wong manages to get full guard. Hound passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hound wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wong, who protects the arm well. Wong prevents Hound from moving into mount. Hound wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wong keeps working. Hound looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hound thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hound swings around for an armbar but Wong sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hound's guard. Wong controlling from the top position. Wong has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wong would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hound throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wong escapes and throws Hound's legs to the side, diving into side control! Hound seems a little lost for a moment, as Wong dominates the positioning. Hound struggling a bit here. Hound is looking to reverse the position. Wong tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hound tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. I wouldn't like to be where Hound is right now. Hound is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Wong stands up. Hound lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wong at a distance.
Wong drives through and clinches with Hound against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hound is trying to maintain a safe position but Wong gets an underhook and turns Hound into the cage. Wong misses with a body punch.
Hound lands a right hand that snaps the head of Wong backwards. Wong misses with a punch to the body.
Wong throws a knee to the head but misses.
Hound lands a left hand that snaps the head of Wong backwards. A short left from Hound. Hound blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Wong using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hound has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Hound lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Wong backwards. Hound struggles to land a body shot inside as Wong controls his hands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wong swings wildly with an uppercut but Hound uses good head movement to avoid it. Wong tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hound avoids it. Wong misses with some punches.
I was talking to Wong's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Wong using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hound has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Hound tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Hound has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Wong after a bit of a struggle. Wong with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Hound throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wongs head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but The Hound will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hound fails with a takedown attempt. Hound shoots in but Wong avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wong tries to clinch up and Hound counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Wong!
Wong is rocked! Hound perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Oh Wong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hound is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wong doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hound. Wong has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hound is working away from the top position though. Hound is working for a submission of some sort.
Wong seems to have got his legs back now. Wong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hound on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hound is looking for a kimura but Wong is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hound to get the leverage. Wong wants to improve his position but Hound is controlling well.
Wong is working hard here to advance position. Wong on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wong tries to get out of the position. Hound stops Wong from getting back to his feet.
Wong is defending against the submission attempts here by Hound.
Wong is not content to let Hound control the position. Hound has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hound looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hound is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hound looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The Hound has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hound has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Wong defend it? Hound steps over the head and cranks it - Wong is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hound!
