Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Borque Seriaoski! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Francis DeMontford and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Seriaoski enables Hunter to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Seriaoski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hunter is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Seriaoski keeping full guard, as Hunter tries to pass. Hunter stays in close to Seriaoski's body and controls the position. Seriaoski wants to control but Hunter passes easily into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Seriaoski is defending against the submission attempts here by Hunter.

That's one minute gone in the round. Seriaoski is trying to control the position but Hunter postures up. Hunter is stalling in the full guard. Seriaoski is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hunter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Seriaoski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hunter controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Borque Seriaoski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Seriaoski scoring well with a low kick there.
Seriaoski swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hunter. Hunter fails with a takedown attempt. Borque Seriaoski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunter walks into a left hand. Seriaoski with a hook. Seriaoski sizes up Hunter with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Hunter drives through with a takedown into Seriaoski's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Hunter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Hunter with a nice head shot there. Hunter stays in close to Seriaoski's body and controls the position. Seriaoski is trying to control the position but Hunter postures up. Hunter controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hunter lands a couple of digs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Seriaoski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hunter controls the pace. Hunter stands up over Seriaoski, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hunter postures up.

Hunter's corner is telling him to maintain position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hunter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Seriaoski for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mark Hunter will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Seriaoski fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hunter on the side of the head. Mark Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Seriaoski smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Seriaoski paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Hunter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Seriaoski is looking to regain half guard here but Hunter keeps moving and retains side control. Seriaoski struggling a bit here. Seriaoski tries to bench press Hunter off him but Hunter keeps the position. Seriaoski can't do much from the bottom here. Seriaoski being controlled for a moment. Hunter working away.

Mark Hunter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Seriaoski seems a little lost for a moment, as Hunter dominates the positioning. Hunter prevents Seriaoski from escaping the position. Seriaoski tries to buck Hunter off but Hunter is having none of it. Hunter connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Seriaoski some visible discomfort.
Hunter is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Seriaoski will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Seriaoski tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Hunter easily slips into full mount! Hunter with a couple of short strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hunter lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Seriaoski is breathing heavily. Hunter sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hunter lands a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seriaoski tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hunter controlling from mount. The referee warns Seriaoski that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You get the feeling that Seriaoski really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hunter controlling from the full mount. BOOM! Hunter connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Hunter prevents Seriaoski from getting the reversal. Seriaoski in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Hunter is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hunter lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Seriaoski throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Seriaoski takes a swing at Hunter's ribcage but misses. Seriaoski keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Seriaoski jabs Hunter right on the nose. Hunter blinks but takes it well. A left lands for Seriaoski. A punch combination from Seriaoski misses. Hunter scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hunter working over Seriaoski with some ground and pound. Seriaoski looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Hunter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hunter is controlling the pace.
Seriaoski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hunter pulls his head out easily. Hunter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Seriaoski can do to turn this around? This has been an exciting period of action! Hunter lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Seriaoski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hunter in particular looking to stall. Seriaoski taking some punishment here, with Hunter in his half guard. Hunter content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Nice strikes from Hunter there. Borque Seriaoski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Well, if Hunter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Seriaoski throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hunter escapes and throws Seriaoski's legs to the side, diving into side control! Seriaoski tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Hunter looking for the RNC. Hunter is punishing Seriaoski with strikes - can he finish him?! Seriaoski is trying to defend against the choke here but Hunter has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Hunter Tightens the hold and Seriaoski taps out furiously! Hunter displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mark Hunter! Mark Hunter was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
