PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Synyx Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall comes to the cage accompanied by In Scarlet Storm. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Synyx Dall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, King Harrison!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison moves out of range of the body kick from Dall.
Dall tests Harrison's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dall, right into the meat.
Dall scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Dall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Harrison.
Dall dodges the punch combination from Harrison.
Harrison misses with a kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dall slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Dall throws a body shot but no joy.
Dall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dall walks into a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dall throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Harrison counters with a one-two to the body.

Dall misses the shot to the body.
Dall tests Harrison's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Dall's corner calls for a 1-2. Dall obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
King Harrison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Harrison does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Harrison throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dall's head.


It looks like Synyx Dall has been cut.
Harrison swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Harrison throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Dall throws a leg kick
and Harrison counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dall, as that shot connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dall lands a glancing blow to the side of Harrison's head.

Dall swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Harrison comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Harrison lands an overhand right.
Harrison uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dall.
Harrison misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Harrison takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Dall throws a hook but Harrison avoids it easily.
Harrison looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Harrison connects with a crisp jab.
Dall throws a hook but Harrison avoids it easily.
Dall fails with the takedown
and Harrison counters with a nice body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dall shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harrison as he avoids it easily.
Harrison walks forward, straight into a front kick from Dall.
Dall changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Harrison scores with a leg kick.
Harrison misses with a left hand
and Dall counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dall cracks Harrison with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Harrison explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Harrison ducks under a wild hook from Dall.
Dall throws a sloppy head kick and Harrison moves out of range easily.
Harrison appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Harrison throws a body punch but Dall moves out of range.
Harrison keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

A low kick from Harrison is predictable there

and Dall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dall wants to pass to mount but Harrison is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dall moves nicely into side control.
Harrison stops Dall from passing to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Synyx Dall will probably get the nod.

Harrison tests Dall's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Harrison is looking to land body kicks.
Dall avoids the head kick by Harrison.
Dall tries to counter with a takedown but Harrison is quick to defend against it.

Dall throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Harrison was covering up waiting for the punch and Dall finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dall is standing up over Harrison. Harrison looks to escape but Dall dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dall tries to advance to mount but can't.
Harrison is looking for a sweep.

Dall looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Dall tries for a kimura but Harrison is defending well.

Dall is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Harrison is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Dall goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Harrison has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dall but great work by Harrison.

Dall tries to buck Harrison off but Harrison is having none of it.
Synyx Dall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Harrison stands up.
Harrison throws a leg kick that misses.
Harrison has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Dall jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Harrison on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Dall. Dall obviously looking to wear him down.
Dall misses with a wild body shot.
Harrison plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Dall connects with a body shot.

Dall closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Harrison quickly recovers to half guard.

Dall seems to be working for a kimura but Harrison defends the submission attempt.
Dall wants to pass the guard but Harrison is defending well.

Dall is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Harrison tries to get to full guard but Dall has control of the leg.
Dall trying to mount his opponent but Harrison defends it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dall is working for a kimura but Harrison is defending it quite comfortably.

Dall is looking for a kimura but Harrison is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dall to get the leverage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dall trying to mount his opponent but Harrison defends it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Synyx Dall will probably get the nod.

Harrison throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dall is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Harrison.
Harrison misses with a looping left.
Dall attempts a counter takedown but Harrison avoids it well and moves away.
Dall avoids the body shot from Harrison.
Dall is looking to counter punch.
Dall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harrison moves away.
Dall misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harrison dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dall. That did some damage!

Harrison ducks right into an uppercut from Dall.
Harrison walks into a straight right hand from Dall.
Harrison's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dall connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Harrison scrambles back to his feet.
Nice body kick from Harrison.
A telegraphed right hand from Harrison misses the target.
A head kick from Harrison lands but Dall takes it in his stride.
Dall finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Dall thumps Harrison with a low kick.

and Harrison counters with a left to the body.
Dall finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A head kick from Harrison lands but Dall takes it in his stride.

Harrison tries to roll over but Dall keeps him under control.
Dall looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
King Harrison has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Dall not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Dall wants to pass the guard but Harrison is defending well.
Synyx Dall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Harrison is holding on to half guard well.
Harrison is refusing to be controlled, as Dall sits in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dall wants to pass to mount but Harrison is defending the position.
Dall missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Harrison is trying to stand up here but Dall is controlling him well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dall keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Harrison.
Dall tries to counter with a takedown but Harrison is quick to defend against it.
Harrison misses with a hook. Dall ducked under it nicely.
Harrison takes a swing at Dall's ribcage but misses.
Harrison missing with a left hand there. Dall was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to King Harrison.
I think Dall has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
