The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taylor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ebbitt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ebbitt wants to get back to his feet but Taylor is dominant here and he's now got Ebbitt's back!

Ebbitt misses with a combination

and Taylor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Taylor avoids the head kick by Ebbitt.
Taylor goes for a double leg but Ebbitt avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ebbitt continues to drive forward.

Taylor manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Taylor.
Ebbitt is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Taylor's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

and Taylor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ebbitt won't be happy with that.

I think Taylor has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
